As a late starter to the sport, Liz Hatch became the inaugural member of the California based Vanderkitten professional female racing team in 2008. In our latest production, we follow Liz on her local training loops to film this inspiring, and sometimes eye opening documentary "COME RIDE WITH ME". The air is cold and crisp, the leaves are falling and the days get shorter. Undoubtedly, it's Etape du Tour reconnaissance time.
Every year since 2006, I've been hopping on a plane bound for France to film the annual Recon DVD with Cannondale's Mike Cotty. The recipe is simple...he rides, I film. As always, it's a 48-hour commando style operation. We don't mess about, no re-takes, rehearsal, just good raw reactions straight from the road. The variety of terrain, the landscape and the lung searing climbs always make for good story telling. Back from the trip, its a mad dash to edit hours of footage into one comprehensive 90min ride guide in time for Christmas. The Road to Tourmalet is not just one to watch before the big day, but also to be viewed afterwards for motivation and to relive memories of a rewarding day on the bike! |
